Numéro 4 - SUITE sommaire    actuel    ‹‹‹    ›››

…I live multiplying words…

We came out of the same belly
the first day
      of the third month
of a sweet and orange early morning

Who reached the air first?

Which one of us two tried to drown in the moist
darkness of that magnificent womb?

How many glances did we exchange?

No one knows...

The only thing I can say
is that we were born because
this one seemed to be the most interesting
of both chasms.

"The woman gave birth - a girl lit by blue candles"
said an ancient voice
when towards light
we directed our sandy tears

how to tell you now
after so many broken spirals
that we are still two though we are one

I fly to the ocean shore
every time your wings stretch and dance

but I fly even if I object
for those leafy wings dance with the joy
that can be shared among us two and with the universe.

How to sketch a line that connects us?
for I know my salty belly button
is yours
and that my dawning skin covers you

How many times have we spoken of that frozen horror
that stab our feet that are 2 or 4 or 30 or thousands?

Why are you always dancing
and why am I flooded in words?

-------------------------------------

Books live imprisoned in warehouses - senseless books - extraordinary expensive and cheap books - you live sitting in front of the picture of a stretched out and happy dollar - my grandmother hermetically still lives with the small amount of light she can extract from a black and white t.v. set - all this world's children live with a dying dream in their hands - I live multiplying words - masturbating the desire not to work for others' dreams while I kill my own - the guard lives watching over what is not his - size one girls live applying makeup even on the tightest knot in their psychopath stomachs - tourists live drinking rum and coke - the bald old man on the corner lives sitting at the window with no underwear - square days live in calendars - the clock lives like an atomic king in each one of our cells - the sex fiend lives trying to quiet down his uncertainty like a lusty dog - the guerrillas of the clouds live smoking herb as the night awakens - clothes live everywhere stealing air from our bodies - dictating social ranking dates religions characteristics - best friends live wanting to touch each other as they sleep together - thousands of eyes live seeking light in their pockets completely forgetting that the sun also shines down here.

deseando
tocar el dulce ombligo
que escondes
cabizbajo
me voy
soltando el pelo
al quitarme las sandalias
con un sabor a cuerpo
quemándome por dentro
mientras me desabotono el vestido
mordiéndote los dedos
oliéndote las ganas
el deseo y tus miedos
  longing
to touch the sweet navel
that you conceal
crestfallen
I let my hair down
as I remove my sandals
with a taste of flesh
burning inside me
while I unbutton my dress
biting your fingers
smelling your craving
the desire and your fears

-------------------------------------

mujeres sin nombres
atrapadas en un carrusel
con las pestañas rizadas
y largos gestos de dolor
giran y giran
diariamente
sin rumbo
sin la más mínima idea
de lo que existe fuera
de ese tierno circulo musical
giran y giran
con caballitos plásticos
luces y una monedita de cristal
  Nameless women
trapped in a merry-go-round
with curled eyelashes
and long painful gestures
spin and spin
daily
off-course
without the slightest idea
of what lies outside
that tender musical circle
spin and spin
with plastic horses
lights and a little crystal coin
