Darin Strauss:
Darin Strauss was born 1970 in the Long Island town of Roslyn Harbor. Chang and Eng was his highly regarded first novel in 2000 (the same year, the novel was published in German under the title Chang und Eng by Europa Verlag, Hamburg); the novels The Real Mc Coy (2003) and More Than It Hurts You (2008) followed. In 2006, he was a recipient of the renowned Guggenheim Fellowship. He lives in Brooklyn, New York, and teaches creative writing at New York University. Together with Gary Oldman, he is currently writing the screen-play to Chang and Eng. His work has been translated into 14 languages.
